USC Civic and Community Relations

USC Civic and Community Relations is a founding member of ECCLA and has been one of its most staunch supporters. It co-sponsors many of ECCLA’s activities, such as its teacher awards, essay contests and scholarships. It also provides office space to ECCLA and makes a variety of on-going, in-kind contributions to support the mission and goals of ECCLA.

California Retired Teachers Association

For the last ten years Division 12 of Area VII Chapter of the California Retired Teachers Association has generously underwritten scholarships for seniors from our ECCLA targeted schools in Central Los Angeles.

USC Civic and Community Relations - Regina Hunter Bloom Endowment
For the last nineteen years an annual endowment from Regina Hunter Bloom’s estate administered through the office of USC Civic and Community Relations has underwritten a number of ECCLA’s programs. This covers awards for ECCLA’s two annual essay contests, the Eighth- Grade Scholarships and two annual Teacher Awards.
Mr. and Mrs. Nelson T. Bogart, Jr.
For the last five years ECCLA has received a gift from the late Mr. Nelson T. Bogart and his widow, who are both USC alumnae from the Bay Area.  They have generously underwritten five additional awards for teachers from five of the original USC Family of Schools.
