Programs

ECCLA has designed and implemented a number of programs to enrich the educational opportunities for the students attending ECCLA's consortium of more than 60 public and parochial schools. These include essay contests, scholarships and student achievement awards. In addition, ECCLA has developed a program that recognizes teachers whose efforts go above and beyond the call of duty.

Teacher Recognition Teachers are recognized for their achievements - those going above and beyond the call of duty along with those who invest a little extra to motivate their students. This web page describes the ways these teachers are recognized.  In addition, recipients of past awards are presented.
Scholarships ECCLA awards scholarships to students who have excelled in their studies and demonstrated a commitment to notable extra-curricular activities.  The scholarship program is described in this web page.  In addition, recipients of past scholarships are presented.
Contests
ECCLA with the support of USC Civic and Community Relations, commemorates Black History Month and National Hispanic Heritage Month by sponsoring essay contests.  This web page provides information on these contests.
Elementary Student Recognition Being recognized for achievements, whether grand or small, boost self-esteem. To assist its targeted elementary schools, in the spring ECCLA provides certificates of recognition on an as-requested basis to recognize academic improvement or academic achievement. To learn how to request certificates of recognition, please click on the link provided.
Rules and Forms Nomination and application forms, along with the associated rules for the 1) Higher Education Scholarships for Eighth Grade Students; 2) ECCLA & ECCLA/CA Retired Teachers Association Senior Scholarships; and 3) ECCLA/USC Teacher Awards can be accessed through this web page.
